The Carolina Forward Slate

The Carolina Forward Slate is back for the 2024 election.

The Carolina Forward Slate is a group of bold leaders running to change Raleigh. They believe in abolishing partisan gerrymandering, fighting corruption, defending abortion rights and reproductive freedom, and cleaning up the culture of pay-to-play politics that runs our state legislature today.

Dante Pittman

House District 24 (Wilson)

Dante Pittman, a native of Wilson county, works for the City of Wilson in the city manager’s office. He also serves as an officer in the Army National Guard.

Dr. Lorenza Wilkins

House District 25 (Nash)

Dr. Wilkins is a non-profit executive at the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle, and serves on the boards of multiple community service organizations in and around Nash county.

Bryan Cohn

House District 32 (Granville/Vance)

Bryan Cohn is a member of the Oxford City Board of Commissioners, where he has been a strong advocate for affordable housing.

Evonne Hopkins

House District 35 (Wake)

Evonne Hopkins is a small business owner in North Raleigh. She is passionate about expanding opportunity and defending reproductive freedom.

Safiyah Jackson

House District 37 (Wake)

Safiyah Jackson is an early childhood advocate and community leader who is running to strengthen public schools for all of North Carolina’s families.

Diamond Staton-Williams

House District 73 (Cabarrus)

Rep. Staton-Williams currently represents House District 73, which was re-gerrymandered by the GOP in late 2023. She is a Registered Nurse and formal local elected official.

Beth Helfrich

House District 78 (Mecklenburg)

Beth Helfrich is a third-generation Davidson resident, a graduate of Davidson College and a former teacher with small business experience.

Nicole Sidman

House District 105 (Mecklenburg)

Nicole Sidman is a former attorney and now a leader at Temple Beth El, one of the largest temples in Charlotte. She is passionate about public schools, reproductive freedom and gun safety.

Lindsey Prather

House District 115 (Buncombe)

Rep. Lindsey Prather currently represents House District 115, which was re-gerrymandered by the GOP in late 2023. She is a former public school teacher and proud advocate for mountain families.

Dr. David Hill

Senate District 7 (New Hanover)

Dr. Hill is a practicing pediatrician in Wilmington, and is an outspoken champion for the health of children and families. He is a strong supporter of reproductive freedom for all North Carolinians.
